Meet the instructor
Alice Macann
From a young age Alice was drawn to movement in the form of dance. Her drive to become a professional dancer got her into the New Zealand School of Dance at only 17 years old.
Upon graduation, Alice worked for an NZ Dance company (Footnote Dance Company), where she performed in national and international tours, including Germany and the USA. During this time Alice practiced Pilates to prevent injury and improve performance.
After moving to the UK, Alice shifted her focus away from dance and towards Pilates. She completed her STOTT Pilates teacher training course and began working in a reformer studio.
In 2018, Alice completed her Clinical Diploma in Pilates to become a Pilates Teacher Trainer herself, assistant teaching a Pilates Teacher Training course with One Hot Yoga and Pilates. More recently, Alice expanded her career to also include Nutrition, completing her Diploma in Diet and Nutrition in 2020.
Alice lives in Australia, teaching a range of fitness and small group Pilates sessions as well as masterclasses and workshops for the general public. She believes in a holistic approach to healthy living, in which movement and diet are equally important in creating a thriving body.
