Reformer for Perinatal Clients

Designed for reformer instructors looking to build confidence when working with perinatal special population clients. Join us Friday 4th Oct, 2-6pm to learn how to adapt and sequence reformer exercises for clients throughout their pregnancy journey and as well as postnatal.

Led by Kadi Ann Thomas, midwife and reformer pilates teacher, we will use a combination of practical work, discussions and resource materials to facilitate trainers working with perinatal clients one-to-one and in mix ability classes.

What to expect:
  • Educate on the benefits, risk and safety requirements when exercising perinatal clients.
  • Sequencing considerations for the pregnant client at different gestations.
  • Understand the different requirements and limitations between the antenatal and postnatal client.
  • Explore the reformer from a perinatal perspective and appropriate modifications and adaptations.

Please note there are no refunds or deferrals on workshops. See full policy here.

Kadi Ann Thomas

Kadi Ann started as an athlete in her early teens, representing Great Britain at Youth, Junior and Senior level in the 100m, 200m and relay events. Whilst training full time and regularly competing, she earned a degree in Sports Science and Exercise Fitness from Brunel University.

Drawing upon the educational and personal experience she gained in exercise and fitness, Kadi Ann taught pilates and other exercise classes for over 5 years. During this time pre and post natal classes became her favourite to learn about and teach.

This inspired her to re-train as a midwife once she decided to move on from her athletics career. Kadi Ann qualified from King’s College London University and is currently a midwife supporting women in pregnancy and birth at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She is still passionate about exercise and health in her personal and professional life.
